Blog Birth

I'm starting this blog so my mom and I have a place to record our experiences as we each begin a major writing project in earnest.  Both of us have been writing for years, but neither has done whatever it takes to achieve the necessary discipline, and so, to actually get the work done.  I will finally write the novel I conceived years ago and have been avoiding ever since, and she will write the memoir she has had in mind for some time now.
